Grant couldn't really get in on the crafts, but he enjoyed watching all the activity and making funny faces with Grandpa.
The highlight of the morning was when the children performed "Jingle Bells" and "Away in a Manger." Now, Hope had only been to MOPS twice at this point, so she didn't have the weeks of practice with the motions that the other kids had, but we'd been practicing singing the songs relentlessly. I thought even if she didn't know the motions, she'd sing along and get into it. But with the exception of this moment ...
... she just stood there staring off into space, playing with her lips. Uh, nice. I don't know what distracted her, but her mind was definitely not on the songs. Maybe next year :)
After the songs, we had birthday cake for Jesus and watching a little movie about the nativity. It was a little nutty there, but definitely a sweet time.
And when we left, our first decent snowfall of the season was in full effect. I'm not a huge fan of snow, but it seemed fitting for the day and certainly very beautiful.
Happy Birthday, Jesus!

Christopher typically pics his nose through at least half of all performance times and Hannah has been known to pull her dress up over her head. I think it's the age. We started bribing Christopher, if he'll sing the songs we'll give him ice cream. Works pretty well :-)
