As soon as the lights went down, the music started, and dancers came out on the ice, Hope was captivated. She was excited about the snacks I'd packed her, but kind of forgot about them once the show got underway.

She opted out of the big girl seat after intermission, because she could see more from Mommy's lap. I was happy to snuggle her up and be able to whisper to her about all that was going on in the show.

There were one or two scenes that Hope wasn't too sure about. At one point, the 'bad guy' from the Incredibles locks Mickey and Minnie away and tries to take over Disneyworld. Hope couldn't understand all that, but she did understand that Mickey wanted out and she was really worried about him.

Fortunately, she got to help free him! At the end, the audience clapped and chanted "Mickey! Minnie!" to break the spell and set Mickey and Minnie free. Again, I wasn't sure that Hope would get it. But she clapped and chanted with all her little might.

For the few days since the show, Hope has relived various parts of it about a hundred times. She likes to talk about "Mickey, out!" and how the good guy made it "all bettah!" She dances the way the bear and monkeys did, and sings "Yo ho, yo ho (a pirate's life for) ME!"
It was lots of fun for both of us, and definitely something we'll do again :)
