Tomato baby

I think it was my mom whose love of tomatoes caused her grandfather to tell her she sure was a 'tomato baby!' She's clearly passed the gene onto Hope, who has had a voracious appetite for tomatoes for as long as I can remember. Lately, she likes to eat them whole. Much to Daddy's and my distaste, she likes to suck and slurp out the 'guts' before devouring the flesh. It's a sound so unappetizing that yesterday we had her eat her tomato on the deck so we wouldn't have to listen! But hey, it's hard to complain about a kid who loves to eat veggies (fruit, technically ... right?).
