Language-wise, Grant has just started putting some words together! It started last month while we were at the beach. We were watching seagulls (he's strangely drawn to birds), one flew off, he waved and said "Bye Uhd!" The other day, Daddy was supervising bath time but Grant wanted me instead. He said, "Da out! Bye Da!" And yesterday while watching the garbage men do their thing (a bi-weekly ritual for me and G), he waved to the garbage truck and said "Bye yash!"
For naps and bedtime, we always sing a couple of songs before laying
Grant down. And when I tuck him in, I always include "Jesus Loves Me" in
the mix. Lately, Grant requests that song by saying "Yes, Sheshush!"
(as in "yes, Jesus loves me!") Or he'll ask for his Wheels on the Bus
book by saying "Rou, rou!" (as in "round and round").

He has some funny ways of requesting movies too...by making various animal sounds to mimic the primary character for that particular show. (a-a-a for Shawn the Sheep...snorting like a pig...etc)!
He is a great communicator - with or without words!
