Picnic > Museum

We are loving that Daddy's new job gives him every other Friday off! We took full advantage of his freedom yesterday by joining some friends for an outing into the city. The idea was that the kids would enjoy seeing the museum, and they did, but for the most part it was too crowded and overwhelming for them (and us!).

But we did enjoy the exhibits we saw. Hope thought most of the fossils and animals were interesting. Grant was more interested in fire extinguishers and exit signs, though he did get a kick out of a ferocious looking tiger - he pointed, laughed, and said "kitty cat!" over and over.

We didn't stay very long inside the museum, but took advantage of the beautiful day to have a picnic right outside. Grant spent the entire time ignoring the lunch we packed him and mooching snacks from our friends. He was shameless!

Hope and Ladan had a big time running all over the place, pretending to be wild animals, racing, and generally loving life. It's really sweet for Daddy and me to see our kids enjoying their friends, whose parents we so enjoy. What a blessing!
