Grant's quirks

Grant is a kooky guy.
He really, really, really loves footie pajamas. If he sees them in his dresser drawer, in the laundry, in a store, or anywhere he tries to tear his clothes off and get into the jammies.

For someone who is so good at making messes all the time, he is surprisingly unnerved when someone else puts something awry. It could be a lid that's not set quite right, Daddy's shirt that got twisted during one of their wrestling matches, a toy that has fallen over, etc. He spots it quickly, says "uh oh!" and tries his best to fix it.

Grant likes to read books at bedtime and throughout the day, but he is only interested in the books HE chooses. We usually keep a stack by the chair in his room - one by one, we pick them up and he shoves them away, until we land on the one he wants. Then he just sits back against us and waits for the reading to begin.

While I'm sure we're at least a year away from potty training, Grant is very intrigued with the idea of the potty. Not so much putting random objects into it, like he enjoyed so much a few months back, but sitting on it. He's never actually produced anything on the potty, but he gets a thrill out of sitting there anyway.

Grant is a pincher. I don't know if he pinches because he' frustrated, bored, or just because some unsuspecting soul has some flesh exposed, but he pinches often and hard!

We try to keep the bathroom door closed, because lately Grant climbs from the toilet to the top of the sink (using the toilet paper holder as a step). Any chance he gets I'll find him ~standing~ on top of the counter, rooting around in the cabinet. Mostly he is either after my makeup bag, or a toothbrush. He loves to brush his teeth, but he's not picky about whose toothbrush he uses ...

I love, love, LOVE this photo of Grant! The sweet lips, the chubby cheeks, the perfect puddin' skin on his thighs, the fat little feet.....if this also showed the soft, mushy spot on the back on his neck, I just don't think I could stand it!
Bless his little boy heart!
