Berry picking

Hope's cousin Annie is in town, and we've been enjoying spending time with her!

A week or so ago we went berry picking with Annie and Grandma. Strawberry season has passed, but once I saw how you'd have to get low to the ground to pick them, I was ok with that. So far my third trimester hasn't been conducive to getting in awkward positions. We opted for raspberries and blueberries instead!

Blueberries are absolutely Hope's favorite food. She likes tomatoes, lemons, pickles, green beans, noodles, every fruit, and in general she's not picky - but she has a special kind of love for blueberries! For her, this was like being in a free candy store.

We got a bunch of raspberries too, no thanks to Hope. Oh, sure, she picked a LOT of them. But I think for every 5 she picked, 6 went in her mouth. Everytime we looked her bucket was almost empty and her mouth was full!

Picking our own berries wasn't quite as cheap as I'd have thought, given that we provided the labor, but it was a fun day and definitely one to repeat.
