Christmas in Texas

We went to Texas to spend Christmas with Daddy's family. Hope enjoyed lots of attention, and of course she relished the opportunity to explore new places, new toys, and new experiences. She started calling her Grandmom and Grandad "Mom-mom" and "Dad-dad," much to their delight. And she bonded big time with her Aunt L! "Cool Aunt L" was always happy to read with Hope, show her the sights in the mall, and play with her toys. We spent one night and Uncle B's house, which was really nice for all of us. Hope got to play with Uncle B's dog, and in the morning Aunt C gave her blackberries for breakfast - in Hope world, that's an awesome day!

Hope liked this "moo-ee" when we watched it later ...

Grandad took Hope outside to meet his hunting dogs, and she got to feed them some treats!

If she'd been allowed to sleep in this dress-up outfit, I think she would have. She loved it! Hopefully she'll still love it next time we make it to Texas.

Our first morning there, Hope and Grandmom spent some quiet one-on-one time playing with water and bubbles. It was very sweet and special!

I was surprised by a couple of words that Hope spouted while we were away. For instance, she can say "airport" perfectly - who knew?! She said Robert pretty perfectly too. And she cracked us all up in the car when Grandad hit the brakes suddenly and she said "Whoah, Dad-dad!"

But the funniest thing by far is how sleepy she was at dinner one night. This is the most pitiful little thing I've ever seen!
