Soccer star

We signed Hope for a little intro to soccer club. It's only 8 weeks, and they don't keep score - it's mostly just about acquainting kids to the game. Hope is on the orange team, and she and her teammates named themselves the Diamondback Rattlesnakes.

The poor little Rattlesnakes - they're so cute, and funny, but they're only sporadically interested in actually playing soccer. They generally leave a couple of kids on defense to guard the net, and the others just mob the ball all together or they gallop around and don't care much about the game. But I guess they're having fun. Last weekend the Blue Ravens team totally kicked the Rattlesnakes butts, but they barely seemed to notice!

Hope has already said that she liked gymnastics better than soccer, and that maybe she'd like to try something else next. Not sure what that will be; stay tuned!
