Counting to 100 is a big deal in kindergarten, and when Hope mastered it she was quite proud. Then they learned to count to 100 by tens and by fives. With all the emphasis on 100, I think Hope started to associate it not just as a big number but as the best and ultimate number.
So when she was grasping for a way to tell me how much she loved me, I was flattered when she said "Mommy, I love you ... 100! No, 100 gallons! Wait, 100 gallons of elephants!" That's some serious love!
She has since upped the ante to "100 gallons of worlds." She knows it doesn't make any sense, but we both know what she means. When I was little, I used to stretch my arms wide and tell my parents I loved them "... this big and 80 and 12 and SO hard!" Love might be hard to put into words, but the words little girls choose are priceless!

I still love you more than words ( OR numbers ) can say.
