Grandpa and Grandad

Hope and Grant are so blessed to have a Daddy who adores them, provides security and comfort for them, teaches them well, makes everyday a fun adventure, and passes his incredible work ethic on to them. And they're doubly blessed to also have two strong male role models in their grandpas.

My dad, Grandpa, has a big job and works hard at it. But on the weekends or when he's able to see us during the week, he and the kids eat each other up. Grant has quickly learned that Grandpa has a garage full of cool tools, and he's a good and patient teacher. And I gather that when they spen the night at my parents' house, they usually clamor for Grandpa to tuck them in! When Hope is with Grandpa they love to take nature walks and explore fallen leaves, ant hills, footprints, and whatever else they find. They both love the one-on-one attention from him!

Grandad lives far away, but he and Grandmom come to town every few months to visit. It's a big commitment, and I think Hope and Grant are starting to realize that it speaks to their devotion. Grandad is always invited to sleep in Hope's trundle bed when he visits, which translates to high praise in Hope world. Grant plays rough with Grandad, and enjoys having another "big guy" to be rowdy with. Grandad is totally amused by Grant's rough and rowdy, all-boy personality!

As lucky as Hope and Grant are to have all these wonderful godly men in their lives, I know all these Daddies feel equally blessed by them!
