Brains AND brawn!

It is well-documented that Grant has a wild side. The adventures and hi-jinx he's already had make me wonder just how he'll survive to adulthood! At the same time, I just know that someone with such a special passion and personality has a God-given place in this life ... so I don't worry too much :)

What's probably less documented is how crazy smart this boy is! Sure, he has the second-child advantage of learning from Hope, but he's surprising us by how quickly he picks things up.

When he was itty bitty, he learned shapes and colors in no time. But we practiced, so I expected him to get it. Then a few months ago, we 'realized' that he could count. We didn't teach him, he just soaked it up! He can do 1-14, but usually skips 5. What's blows my mind more is that he knows ALL his letters, and we never introduced them once! He picked it up entirely from watching Hope practice, and from the show Super Why.

He's the same way with almost anything you teach him - show him once and he's got it down. If only once was enough to get him to stop fighting with Hope! :/
