Stomping on the patio

 Our weather has been strange lately. Hot as blazes during the day, followed by early evening storms that only seem to make it more humid and unbearable. Between that and the mosquitoes, we haven't been playing in the yard as much as usual.

But, twice lately, I've sent the kids out just before bath time to run through the lake that forms on our back patio. Daddy looked at me like I was crazy, but I think I scored a few cool points with the littles!

Hope was mostly excited to wear her rain boots.

But pretty quickly she shed the pretense, among other things. She just couldn't run and splash hard enough in her skirt, so it had to go!
