For those of you who don't know, Daddy is majorly into his bikes. Road bike, mountain bike, even our family cruisers. So you can imagine his delight when, on a recent trip to the bike shop, Hope expressed an interest in a 'big girl bike.'
They struck a deal: if she could prove to him that she could make it around the loop at the park on her tricycle all by herself, then they'd go get the new bike. She's totally big enough, but hasn't historically cared much about the tricycle, so we weren't sure what to expect. But of course she gritted her teeth and did it!

Big girl bike: earned! Her favorite part seems to be the little pouch on the front that she can keep treasures in. And she likes the flashing safety lights on the back of her new helmet.

This thing was quite an investment, but hopefully she'll learn to ride it and love it! It's pretty cute to see how proud she is!
