Grant's vocabulary

For quite awhile now, Grant has gotten by with just three words: ball, wow, and uh-oh. It's remarkable how many times those three words are appropriate in his little world! But I'm pleased to report that Grant is beginning to try on some new words. In addition to his old faithfuls, he's been working on:

There he is! ("Da ee is!")
Baby ("Daaa")
Woof woof
Stick ("Stih")
Milk/Drink/Bite ("Malk")
Bye
Rice ("Rie")
Hot ("Ott")


He's working on some physical skills too. Most of the time he still sits in the highchair, but he resists it suddenly, and is beginning to prove himself capable of bigger chairs. He'll also now lay down when he sees me hold up a diaper, he dances all wiggley-style when he hears music, and he can actually get some air now when he jumps.

It's fun to watch him learn new things, but of course I'm really hoping we're on the verge of hearing "Mommy" sometime soon :)
