Delicious, exhausting boy

Grant keeps me so busy these days! Every hour that he's awake I spend chasing him around, taking him down from places he shouldn't be, taking away objects he shouldn't have, and acting as referee between him and Hope. And when he's asleep, I try to put the house back together again. He is so much more challenging than Hope was at this age!

Some of the drawers and cabinets Grant used to empty daily have been largely ignored lately, thanks to his new-found ability to open other drawers and cabinets. He's even managed to thwart the baby locks! He loves to empty the big drawer in the bathroom vanity in particular. Think he had enough floss?

When he isn't making messes, there are a couple of toys that really hold his interest. Just like Hope at this age, he loves baby dolls. He feeds them, pats them, carries them around, and tries his hardest to plug in their pacifiers (which is weird, because he never took one). He also loves the Fisher Price barn that belonged to Aunt K and me when we were little, and the pink cash register that Hope earned last summer as a 'rest time' prize.

Grant is newly fascinated with my camera, which is what this awesome face is all about. He looks so much like his Grandmom in this picture!

Obviously, Grant wears me the heck out over the course of a day, and he does have some normal behavior kinks we need to work through (throwing food, pulling hair, hitting). But he tempers the exhausting stuff with heaps of snuggles, kisses, and spontaneous affection so it's TOTALLY worth it!
