Grant is very responsive now - he tickles, cuddles, high fives, waves, and "dinks" fingers on command. He knows his name, his bedtime routine, and how to get out of the carseat straps. He still just babbles, but he does it a lot and sometimes very loudly! He suddenly has 7 teeth and one on the way. Grant still has major love for his Mommy, but is becoming more and more accepting of other people. We stopped nursing about a month ago, and it's been smooth sailing ever since. And, of course, he walks! It isn't exactly his main mode of transportation, but he has walked the length of a room a few times, and walks in bits and spurts all day.
We celebrated the big 0-1 with a little party at home. Grant thrived on the attention, and loved having so many friends and family members to watch. Grandma and Grandpa's gift was this roller coaster toy, which all the kids enjoyed over and over again!

The theme was happy faces, for my little happy boy. When Grant got his happy face cupcake he wasn't at all shy about digging in! Very unlike his sister, whose 1st birthday cupcake was eaten face-first, with no hands.

May he have a hundred more happy birthdays! What a joy of a boy!
Grant is adorable! We had so much fun at his party. Everett sure did make himself at home with Grant's gifts. :)
