But, oh boy, do I love this guy! How could you not?!
We celebrated his half birthday with our new, ridiculous tradition of wearing silly hats at dinner. It was particularly silly this time because the guest of honor was cat-napping while the rest of us ate. Didn't stop him from sporting his silly hat when it was time for his dinner though.

At six months, Grant is now very alert and attentive to the world around him. He watches and studies, reacts with gurgling laughter, rolls and reaches for anything and everything. He loves baby food - the only one he has refused so far was spinach, and honestly, it was pretty vile. Grant also just spent his first Sunday morning in the church nursery, where he was widely lauded and praised. It's always hard to leave them with a 'stranger' for the first time, but we felt pretty good about it because Grant is always SO HAPPY.

He really is the happiest baby I've ever known. He gets loud if you feed him too slowly, and he makes faces when you fuss with getting him dressed, but he really only cries for real when he's tired. Granted, he's a baby, so he's tired several times a day ... nobody said he was perfect.

Well, if no one has said it, let me set the world straight:
He IS perfect!
