Dress shopping

The other day I was shopping online while the kids napped. I hadn't finished when Hope woke up, but I figured I'd get back to it again later. Instead, Hope asked what I was doing and then became totally absorbed in clothes shopping online.

It just so happened that I was looking in the Dresses section when she joined me, and of course dresses are the only kind of clothes Hope will tolerate these days. She sat next to me on the couch and pointed out the ones she wanted to look at. I couldn't believe my not-quite 3-year-old was saying, "That one is beautiful! Let's see if it comes in my size!"

Naturally, we ended up looking at dresses in the Kids section. Even there, where everything was her size, she cracked me up with stuff like "What other colors does it come in?" A born shopper!

She ended up picking out two dresses, neither of which I would have picked. But I let her choose the dresses and the color, and I'm sure when she gets them she will feel very grown up indeed!
