I felt pretty accomplished just getting myself and both kids out the door on time - we're still pretty new at this afterall! But we were meeting friends at the metro, and I don't think I could have negotiated my way around without their help, so linking up with them was a must.
I wish I had more pictures of our caravan. Mark and Christie, with their two kids, me with Grant in the Snugli, a backpack, and Hope in the stroller. We were quite a sight! But thanks to lots of pre-planning by Daddy and Mark, we rode around on the metro and managed to cheer on our favorite runner at two or three spots.
Hope and Ladan rode in style! They spent their time alternating between having snacks, holding hands, or hitting each other. They're good kids, but nobody's perfect :)

Daddy rocked the race, finishing in the top 2%, and we were all excited to link up with him afterward. But by the time we were headed toward the metro to go home, Hope just couldn't hang anymore. Poor kid just ran out of gas!

Ladan was a perfect gentleman while she slept and sort of sprawled onto his side of the stroller.
I was glad for that little nap, because as soon as we got home Hope had to jump into her Halloween costume for Trunk-or-Treat at church. This was her first year to actually go around and get candy, and she was pretty excited about it. Like last year, she also did the hayride and pony ride, which was still a big hit. Mostly, she was tickled to be wearing her bee costume.

Grant was such a trooper all day long - riding around in the carrier, being nursed in awkward places, napping on the go. It could have been so much more hectic if he'd been uncooperative. Good boy!
By the time we made it home, we practically poured ourselves into bed. Even though Daddy was the one who ran the marathon, I felt like we'd all had a huge workout! Phew!

Awesome! I'm SO impressed that you chased him around the marathon course with 4 kids and 3 adults. Love Hope in her Bee costume too!!
