Once Hope's little brother comes along, I'm sure we'll spend many more days around the house than we do now. But for the time being, it's rare for us to spend an entire day at home. We usually have playdates, outings, or errands and I know that Hope enjoys being out as much as I do.
But today has been one of those days that we're home all day. Here's what we've done:
But today has been one of those days that we're home all day. Here's what we've done:
- She woke up smelling the popcorn Daddy and I made last night, and requested some for breakfast. Sure, why not?
- We loaded piles of toys into her new toy storage unit, alternating playing with cleaning up about a dozen times.
- We played with stickers, and she decided it was more fun to put them on her brother (my belly) than on the paper.
- She discovered that if she puts her hands on her cheeks or mine while we're chewing, she can feel our jaws move.
- She walked around in dress up shoes that are too big, and I put them back on her 2389 times.
- We read Duck in a Truck AGAIN.
- We watched Hip Hop Harry while she jumped on the couch and said, "Go Harry! Go Harry!"
- She pretended I was the school bus (because I'm not feeling huge enough already) and we 'drove' around the coffee table on the way to school.
- Instead of the usual suspects, she chose a random doll and a puzzle piece for today's naptime cuddle friends.
- She napped for 3 1/2 hours! I ~love~ when that happens!
