Some things she wants to do all by herself? Take a shower, brush her teeth, get in the car, walk up/down stairs, put keys in the door, turn off lights, and pull the shades.
She also wants to try her hand at everything. Whether it's something fun to do or not, if it looks like something she could do all by herself, she wants to try it out. Case in point:

Her curling iron was not plugged in, but please don't tell her that. She worked very hard to get the plug into the door frame, where the doorknob is supposed to go. It scares me that she understands about plugging things in, but also kind of amazes me that she just somehow knows those things. She's a sponge, I tell you.
We've also been talking a lot about potty training, in anticipation of actually doing it soon. She woke up the other day and asked me, first thing, "I go on potty train today?" Maybe I should be calling it potty class, so as not to get her hopes up that there's an actual train involved :)

When Hope was at our house yesterday, she climbed into the chair in her room and said she was going to read her new book "all by
my self"...I told grandpa about it and he said, " Just like Holly..."
After about age three, you would never admit that you couldn't read your own books. :)
What a great picture!
I love that Christopher knows how to use the house keys. When I'm getting Hannah out of the car I give him the keys and he goes and opens the front door. I've ALWAYS wanted a remote for my front door and this is almost as good :)
