Oh, how I missed them!

Just before her birthday, Hope and Daddy went to Texas to celebrate Uncle B's graduation. I don't/shouldn't fly while pregnant, so I stayed behind and missed the heck out of them. Hope normally would have stayed home with me, except that once a child turns 2 you have to start paying for them to fly, so we figured we'd squeak in one more free trip!

It sounds like she was too busy having fun to miss me all that much. She helped Grandmom around the house ...

Played fairy princess with Aunt L and Grandad ...

Played with Uncle B's dog ...

Got ready for work with Grandad ...

And, of course, cheered on Uncle B at his graduation!

Daddy tells me she was a great traveler, and a generally happy clam, albeit not a good sleeper. I would have been sad if she seemed nonchalant about seeing me when they returned, but she definitely gave me a joyful greeting. Big smiles, lots of tight hugs, and various comments like, "I like your hair. I like your earrings. I like your face. I like your shirt." It's not how everyone greets me after a couple of days away, but I know it was her sweet way of saying it was good to see me ;)

Hey, I recognize those "Key to Daddy's Heart" PJ's. They are popular with the daddies, no?
