Hope and Grant woke up feeling playful and cute, and they played nicely together all morning. They cooperated and took turns and put each other first - it was wonderful to watch. We went to the gym, grabbed a quick lunch at Subway (where they were funny and cute and scored free soft pretzels from the Auntie Anne's lady). Back at home we spent some time playing outside, playing Barbies, and doing "homework" books. The whole afternoon was easy and pleasant - no regulating, no growling, no whining.
Grant asked if we could have a "tea party" for dinner, with lemonade instead of tea - stinkin' adorable boy. They were so excited when I agreed, and ran upstairs to put on appropriate clothes. Hope looked gorgeous, even though she chose a slip, matching necklace, and slippers. Grant put on pajamas at first, then opted for a button-up shirt when he saw that Daddy put one on. I had to laugh at his ensemble!
We tend to plan lots of play dates and outings and time with friends, and we all love it. But a nice, slow day like today was good for all of us!
