The bus doesn't come until 9am, so most morning are still pretty leisurely. But on the first day of school, and every day since, Hope made her bed, got dressed, and brushed her hair before she came downstairs in the morning. Off to a good start!
We made sure to get out the door in plenty of time for some first day of school pictures!
Grant and I knew we'd both miss our Hopey a lot that first day! It helps knowing that she's having a great time. She admits that she loves me, but usually she's having too much fun to miss me :)
The bus stop was a favorite place to hang out with friends all last year, so of course Hope was eager to get there on the first day. She and this little friend, Jocelyn, have gotten so close this year - it's hard to believe they met for the first time at the bus stop last year!
So far first grade has been a hit. I just asked Hope to tell me what she thinks of first grade and she replied, "This is what I think: I love it!"

There are no words to correctly describe Hope. She is a blessing, a treasure, a joy, a pleasure.
I hope her every school day is happy and productive. I know she will be a star for every teacher and a friend to every child.
God, bless our sweet Hope.
