Overall, I'd say it was a success. They managed to sleep in the tent all night. Grant was initially very excited, then said he wanted to go inside when it came time to sleep. But we convinced him to just try to fall asleep, and he was out like a light. Hope took longer to fall asleep, mostly because she was so squirmy! She just wouldn't lay still, which caused her infinite sleeping bag troubles. But finally, everyone slept!
What surprised me was waking up at 7am in the tent by myself! The kids woke with the sun, naturally, and Daddy took them inside. And somehow I slept through it!
