Hello New House!

Everything about our new house is AWESOME! The location, the space, the newness, the neighborhood, the schools, the view, the surroundings, the nearby conveniences and recreational things. Not to mention all the details that we love, like my magazine-worthy new kitchen, a master closet as big as a bedroom, the cute little gazebo, a really big and airy layout, and so much more. We are completely thrilled with this house; it's truly the best I've EVER seen!
Home, sweet home!

Our yard overlooks a vineyard. Preserved farm land. How cool is that?!
One acre of paradise :)
I feel free to ramble on about how crazy-wonderful it is because we know, beyond a doubt, that this house wasn't something we earned or deserve or "did" ourselves. No, no, this was a giant gift from God. We prayed to move on to something a little better, and God was like "Oh, ok. Here you go! Bla-DOW!" So really, it's not bragging or self-congratulations - it's gratitude and praise!

Moving out of the old house was a pain. We haven't moved since Hope and Grant came along, and suddenly it seems like we have so much more stuff than we used to! It was especially challenging because we couldn't go straight from one house to the next; there were twelve days between closing dates. So we had to put everything in storage and stay with Grandpa and Grandma for a little while. It was so generous of them to turn their lives upside down to let us (and Penelope, the cat) move in, but it went exceedingly well. The possibility existed for feeling crowded by each other, but we really had a sweet and pleasant stay there. Grandma and Grandpa rock :)
Moving out was hard work. Hope said "It's a good thing we have a STRONG Daddy!"
Penelope was a champ through the whole thing.
As far as moving in and getting settled goes, we're kind of shocked that it went so quickly and so well. Hope and Grant haven't missed the old house, and have been loving giving our friends and family the "grand tour" every time someone comes over. In fact, Grant has given the same set of friends the tour every single time they've been here! Hope is as tickled as I am about how beautiful the place is, and Grant is loving having a big boy (twin) bed and tons of room to play inside and out.

Used to be Hope's bed, now it's Grant's.
We haven't decorated Grant's room much yet, but I can't wait to hang these!

Hope's new room. She loves that it's so grown up :)
We've been here for three weeks now, and while we feel very settled, we still occasionally look around and feel surprised that we actually live here. Daddy said it seems like a vacation house, but it's real! We're beyond thrilled with everything about it, and we're enjoying getting in the groove.

Their arrival on move-in day.
Over the threshold, of course!
Us four, happy and blessed!
