Strawberry pickin'

Several weeks ago, Grandma and I took the kids strawberry picking. Hope had a great time last year when we picked raspberries and blueberries, but the low-to-the-ground strawberry plants were even more accessible to her. Not that she actually picked that many!

She picked a few, put them in her bucket, ate them. Took some out of my basket, showed them to Grandma, ate them. Ran back and forth between us, asked questions about strawberries, and ate some.

Grant sat on Grandma's lap, happily munching strawberries the whole time I picked them. Grandma said he had such strong suction on them that she had to hold them with her fingernails to keep him from swallowing them whole!

We left the farm that day with $16 worth of strawberries in our basket, and who knows how many dollars worth in the kids' bellies!

It is one of my precious blessings to be included so often in your adventures. This was another memorable day with you and the children.
(Wish I had taken a photo of the condition of my white pants at the end of the day! Strawberry juice, mud, drool, unidentifiable goo, etc) :)
