Egg dyeing

Despite the smock, the dropcloth, and the old clothes, I still thought letting a not-quite 2 year old dye Easter eggs would be a disaster. But it really wasn't!

She enjoyed putting each egg in it's "bath," and waiting for the color to show up.

She wasn't too keen on using the spoon to swirl the eggs around, preferring instead the finger method.

The finger method was very effective, but ...

it resulted in some seriously green hands, and you know Hope does NOT like dirty hands. It ended up being quite alright though, because it meant she got to use Mommy's nail polish remover - a much longed-for, never previously allowed item.

You'd have to ask her, but I think Hope liked that part just as much as the egg dyeing!

I am very impressed that each color of dye had a matching bowl!
Looks like Carl was prepared for a very messy event. :)
