Aining, poring ... man ... ring ... bump, head ... bed ... MORNING!
When we walked into the living room and she saw the blanket of snow on the deck, she said "touch it?" Sure! We stepped onto the deck, jammies and all, for the briefest of pats of the snow.
After breakfast I told her we could throw some bread onto the deck for the birds. She thought authorized food throwing sounded like too good an opportunity to pass up. So we threw a bunch out there, then we hid under the dining room table so the birds wouldn't see us. I wasn't sure if she'd understand about hiding and peeking out at the birds, but see for yourself:

She definitely understood. But after a couple of minutes, she got a little bored with waiting.

Eventually the birds came, and then we were back to peeking out and enjoying the show. She got such a thrill from it!
Snow has never been my favorite thing, but there is a whole new level of joy in it now that Hope gets such a thrill from it!

Hope is lucky to have you for her mommy. The pics of her hiding from the birds are GREAT!
I'm learning more and more that kids make everything better... well, just about everything. I'm thinking now of Ella's first night in her big girl bed.
hehe
I couldn't agree more. Hope is a lucky girl. You fill her days with adventures, learning, love and security.
