Hope didn't do any trick or treating of her own, though she did enjoy a few Skittles, but she helped us hand out candy to the other kids. She thought it was pretty cool that new people kept coming up to us, and that she got to drop things into their bags. So many parents told their kids to say 'thank you,' so before long Hope was signing 'thank you' with each piece of candy she gave out. Silly giraffe :)

Her favorite part of the day by far was riding Gizmo the pony. She loves pretend horsey rides on our shoulders, so I knew she'd go nuts for the real deal. While we stood in line she was dancing in anticipation, saying "neigh, neigh!" and pointing to the ponies. But when it was finally her turn, she was a little hesitant. Mommy had to pet Gizmo for a little while and tell Hope how nice and soft he was before she was willing to sit on him. Once in the saddle, she ~loved~ it!

We ended the day with a hayride, just like last year. Check out the comparison!

My son was a giraffe too with the cute little hoodie, but all he wanted to do was pull it off. Hope looks adorable!
