Easter

Today was a quiet little Easter at home, full of giggles and sweetness. We did the normal things: church, Easter baskets, an egg hunt, and a big dinner. But it was slow and peaceful and just kind of restful. You can't say that about very many holidays!

When I was a kid, Grandma and Grandpa used to make elaborate scavenger hunts for us to find our Easter baskets. This is the first time we did a hunt for Hope's and Grant's baskets, but they absolutely loved it. They only had four or five clues, but they were running around the house following them, building their excitement. It was so much fun to watch!

These eyes crack me up :)

Hope is surely the only kid in the world who would want tomato soup in her Easter basket, let alone be more excited about it than any of the candy. I love how unique she is!

Grandpa and Grandma, and Uncle Ethan and Aunt Kate joined us for the egg hunt and dinner. It was pleasant and relaxed, and just right.

I love you family! I love your blog! So glad you are preserving memories that would otherwise slip away.
