Best buds

I'm so, so, so relieved and pleased to see that Hope's and Grant's friendship is continuing to grow. When he was littler he pestered her so badly, and even though she loved him, it was understandably frustrating for her to have him around. But somewhere during last winter or spring maybe, Grant really turned a corner with his ability to communicate what he was feeling, and his behavior toward her (and other friends) improved dramatically.

Now Hope and Grant truly and honestly love being together! I know they're still little and I know there will be more phases and battles to contend with, but for NOW, they're best buds! Every day that she's in school he says he misses her, and they have a big hug and greeting when she gets off the bus in the afternoon. They play well together now, even in the bathtub, which used to be the war zone. (Not sure how much longer we can get away with them bathing together, but for now it's not a problem).

It's so wonderful for me to see them prefer each other, love each other, even serve each other sometimes. I hope they'll be close for their entire lives!
