Grant is one sick puppy! He's got an ear infection, a wicked nasty virus that keeps him coughing and feverish, and TWO molars coming in. All at the same time! He spent a full day and a half with a 103 degree temperature, just laying in my arms. Moaning. It was full-on heart-breaking. He has improved since then, with his fever only slightly elevated and mostly manageable. His appetite is back and his energy level is starting to resemble normal, though he wears out more easily and wakes up hot and grouchy from his nap. He coughs all night, and I'm sure he feels miserable a lot of the time. Who wouldn't, under those conditions? The poor boy. I can't wait until he's feeling well enough to get into his usual amounts of mischief!
And while I'm holding my breath, waiting for the rest of us to get Grant's nasty virus but praying that we won't, we're still contending with Hope's two week old stuffy nose. She has no other symptoms, but the poor child has been congested for so long! She gets a kick out me responding, "Yes, Larry?" when she says "Mom?" (because it sounds like she's saying "Bob" ala Bob & Larry of Veggie Tales fame). Her cold has taught us a thing or two though: she can blow her nose as good as any adult, and they make Breathe Right Strips in kid-size :)
I am so eager for the day when our household is free of these germs. But as always, seeing my babies sick and feeling my urgency for them to be well again reminds me how BLESSED we are to enjoy such good health most of the time. I can't imagine how impossible it must be for parents of truly sick children. These bumps in the road are nothing compared to what some kids face. Thank God for my (usually) healthy Hope and Grant!

Hope everyone is feeling better soon!
I think we are on the mend now but man...that was a long couple weeks. Couldn't imagine going through that with anyone else but Holly though...so much grace.
Let me second what "Daddy" said...you have such grace under fire! Whatever the situation, you always handle it with patience and wisdom. You are truly, really a special woman.
