Proud and Prouder

Tonight as I was tucking Hope in I said, "I'm really proud of you, you know." She said, "I'm really proud of you too! Let me tell you why." Then she rattled off several very genuine, thoughtful reasons why she's proud of me. What kind of kid does that? Again, I'm struck by how unusually mature and thoughtful she is! Hope is worlds apart from every other 8-year-old I've ever met!
