Now, Grant has always been hilariously "romantic." He volunteers his love in the most generous, adorable ways and says things like, "Mom, I just love your precious red hair!" How could you not adore this boy?

Then somewhere along the way - I don't remember if Grant started it or if Daddy started it - but I earned the nickname Mama Bird. AND I LOVE IT! These three beautiful people I live with call me Mama Bird when they're talking to me and about me. And sometimes I hear myself call Grant my Buddy Bird. I love this nest we have here, and the little baby birds that share it with me!

Anyway, Grant is at that wonderful age where he still loves his Mommy so much it "squeezes his heart," and he's expressive enough to be able to tell me and show me in many, many ways. We love snuggling up for book time, or to watch Curious George together. He likes to run errands and go shopping with me (like the good old days of preschool). And some of our favorite times are just cuddling, tickling, covering each other with kisses and making goofy faces until the other one cracks up. Love my Buddy Bird!

Even though there is more to you than just being a mother, you were born to be a sweet mama.
You could (should) write a book about raising children with love and patience and imagination!
