We had a rare opportunity to visit with Uncle Ethan's sister and her children last weekend. They were visiting DC, so we drove down to spend the day catching up and to introduce the kids. Hope and Grant were excited to meet someone new, even though Evin and Mira are older (11 and 8). We started out at the National Building Museum, which though impressive looking, was mostly boring for children.
From there we walked a bit, had some lunch, and moved on to the Air & Space Museum. All four kids loved it. I wondered if it would be strange for them, to see Uncle Ethan and Aunt Kate with their "other" niece and nephew, but it didn't seem to cross their minds - they just had fun spending time together. Hopefully they'll have more opportunities to visit with each other!
