But by and large, Hope has been doing a fabulous job and has earned three prizes by completing her sticker charts. Yay Hope! After earning her piggy bank for her first prize, we went to the "fingernail store" where she had a real pedicure, complete with all the filing, scrubbing, and massaging for her second prize. It was too funny!

Even though the salon has kid chairs, she still looked so tiny in it. She enjoyed picking out whatever color she wanted, which ended up being "watermelon pink." And once her toes were painted, the manicurist put a little shiny star on each one. Hope then proceeded to mess them all up when we moved over to the dryer, but the lady was nice enough to come over and basically do the whole thing over again. Hope has been proudly showing off her stars ever since :)

Most days, when rest time is over, I find Hope sitting on her floor surrounded by books and toys. But I do occasionally still find this:

Apparently, that's her sleeping spot! On those days, I just slide her into my lap and try to wake her gently with kisses by petting her hair. I have to fight the urge to just hold her like that for as long as I can (because then she'll be up and ~cranky~ until 10pm). When she does wake up, she always looks happy and a little surprised, and she says "Is rest time over? Did I earn a sticker?"
Sweet, sweet girl.
